Shipping Information

*** Please read entire Shipping Policy before requesting birds ***

USPS Express Mail:

When shipping with USPS - Express Mail special postal approved boxes will be used. Birds CANNOT be insured. The Post Office considers birds as perishable items and WILL NOT accept responsibility for live arrival. I take every effort to try to make sure your birds arrive in good condition and as quick as possible. Most USPS shipments are second day arrivals but some do arrive overnight. Once the finches leave my local post office I cannot accept responsibility or guarantee them on deliveries delayed in route by USPS as this would be beyond my control. If a bird(s) is DOA or if there is a problem the buyer must contact me immediately.

I confirm all shipments one day prior to shipping and will e-mail or call you with the tracking number. Shipping birds by Express Mail is very efficient, safe, and by far the most cost effective method. Shipping fees, cost of shipping box and handling fees is $65. Price of bird(s) and shipping fees must be prepaid! I will accept Money Orders ONLY!. All payments should be made out to: Laurie Schuneman.

The post office will contact you when your box of birds arrives although I INSIST you notify your local post office of the expected delivery ahead of time

*** I do NOT ship when temperatures are below 60F or above 85F anywhere along the route of shipment ***

Shipping via airlines:

**Shipping with Continental per box is $175 including shipping box and handling fee.**
(No temperature restrictions apply)

**Shipping with Delta per crate is $130 including shipping crate and handling fee**
(Temperature restrictions do apply, no shipping in winter if temps are 20 degrees anywhere en route)

 ** Price of bird(s) and shipping fees must be prepaid! **

**A minimum purchase order of $500 is required for shipment via the airline**

**You would be responsible for picking the birds up at the airport..**
