want to let you know that after several months, every one of
the finches you sent to me - a blue Gouldian, a split to
blue Gouldian, four owl finches and four society finches -
are still doing wonderfully. Your birds are strong, healthy
and vibrant, and every single one of them has bred for me.

By the way, we
made it home safe and sound. The girls are in a large flight
right now, I'll keep them together for about a week before
pairing them with their new mates. They are beautiful birds,

like you to know that I was extremely impressed with your
record keeping, extensive knowledge of your birds and their
families, and the cleanliness and lighting of your bird
room. I didn't intend to buy more than the one bird that we
had communicated about, but they were all so beautiful that
I couldn't resist bringing home the other female as well! My
new birds have settled in nicely, they were active, eating
and drinking and exploring their flight very shortly after
we got home. Thank you again, your birds are a stunning
addition to my feathered family! (You can use that too if
you like. I mean every word of it!)

collection of Lady Gouldians finches for sometime now.
Montana is a long ways away and you did it right! You spent
extra time on picking just the right temperature for
shipping day. All birds were healthy, bright eyed and in

Hi Laurie, What a wonderful day!
The owls survived the road trip just fine.
We were back home in just under three hours. They seem very
happy and contented in their new surroundings! Within
minutes they were off exploring their new cage, eating and
even a little BATH!
My dad was so impressed as was I with your
birds and the wonderful care you give to them ALL! Your
birds are so healthy and vigorous! You are an inspiration! A
true bird lover that's for sure! I'm sure I'll be visiting

I had the absolute delight during this cold
Minnesota day to take a drive to Zippy's and purchase a
couple of birds. What a way to brighten a winter day. Never
in my life, 50+ years, have I feasted my eyes on so many
gorgeous birds and in peak condition. It is very clear to
see that the care and attention Laurie pays to her birds
shows in their beauty. I appreciate the fact that she pays
attention to even the smallest of details.
Thank you Laurie for taking the time out of
your busy day to spend an hour with me. The birds I brought
home with me are tired of me staring at them! I told them

The birds that we ordered from arrived in
record time. Each bird was in excellent shape and looked
great. Your birds are healthy, vibrantly colored, and
vigorous.
The shipping box was really strong and took
very good care of the birds inside. I especially liked the
way that you affixed the water and food pans to the bottom
of the box so that they didn't slide around and get
everything messy.

To answer your question on colors Dyanne
loves them. Now if its alright I would like to take a minute
of your time to tell other potential customers what a first
rate well organized business you run.
We told Laurie what we would like and she
didn't stop looking and emailing us pictures until she found
the birds we liked. The birds are some of the best I have
ever seen . Once we found the birds Laurie was very careful
to watch the weather and would not ship the birds until
weather conditions were perfect.
Once they were shipped we received them
early the following morning. The shipping cage was very well
constructed and easy to retrieve the birds from. As for care
of the birds she answered every question we had and made
some very good suggestions on how to keep the birds in tip
top shape. In closing,
Laurie is one of the few people we have
dealt with in the pet trade that truly cares for her birds.
It is apparent to me that she is more concerned about the
health and well being of her birds then she is the monetary
end of the business. I can guarantee you that we will be
buying more birds from you. Thanks again Laurie for a very
smooth transaction.

Hi Laurie,
thanks again for the great birds. It's hard to believe that
new birds being shipped on October 18 are already sitting on
eggs, November 13. It's more than I could have expected,
ever.
I've had birds
shipped before that haven't gone into laying for many
months. Clearly the birds you raise are very well taken care
of.
Basically, I
paired the birds up the night I got home from the airport
and after a little settling they they went right to
business. All the birds seem to be very into nesting and
there fore I'm content to believe they will rear well also.
One side note, I
have two other pairs that I've had longer by months and
neither pair has shown signs of laying yet. That convinces
me that birds that are well adjusted in only days to the new
environment at my home must have had a great home before
also. Thanks for the great birds and I will be happy to do
business in the future.

After searching
for months for a pair of Owl finches, I finally found them
on Laurie's site. She was an absolute pleasure to do
business with! Because the weather has been so hot, in both
my state and hers, she kept in constant contact with me
while watching the weather on both our ends. The birds are
absolutely beautiful!! Much prettier than I had expected (I
had only seen these in pictures), and incredibly healthy,
clean, and vibrant! There was almost no acclimation period
where the birds would huddle in a corner, no, they
immediately started jumping around from perch to perch and
by the end of the day were singing. I am so pleased with not
only my birds, but with the professionalism and friendliness

What can I say... I started going to Laurie

I purchased 7 Gouldians from Laurie at
Zippy's in spring 2003. It was the first time I had ever
bought birds sight unseen & had no experience with how they
were shipped, etc. Everything went great. The birds
arrived well watered & fed & healthy. Today, about a year
later, 5 of the 7 are still beautiful and strong. These are
all normal backs or split to blue. The 2 that I lost after
several months were the blue backed brother and sister,
which I have read tend to be somewhat genetically weaker.
In summary, I would definitely buy Gouldians from Zippy's
again (including the blue backs) and am very happy with my
birds.

There's nothing bad I could say about,

The birds were in great shape when they
arrived, she packed them really well (I live in Alaska) so
they had a a long way to go, but they arrived safe and
sound.
As far as
health I bought them a few years ago and they are still

My overall experience was excellent. I wouldn't buy from
anyone else myself.
